Vega Systems at MXD South Pacific 2026
Vega Systems was proud to participate in Milestone XPerience Days (MXD) South Pacific 2026 — the inaugural event of Milestone's global 2026 XPerience Days series, held at the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort in Port Douglas, Queensland.
The two-day event brought together resellers, distributors, and technology partners from across the South Pacific for Milestone's most significant regional gathering of the year. As a Milestone technology partner, Vega Systems showcased its portfolio of continuity and connectivity solutions designed to protect critical video infrastructure.
What We Showcased
MXD South Pacific was an opportunity to demonstrate how Vega's platform addresses the industry's most pressing challenges — from zero-downtime migration to cybersecure redundancy and edge connectivity. Our team engaged with partners and end users across critical infrastructure, transport, education, logistics, and government sectors.
Solutions on Display
- Redundancy Management Framework (RMF) — Active-active, cybersecure redundancy for Milestone XProtect with object-level synchronization and independent data center isolation.
- XPort — One-step automated migration for XProtect deployments, eliminating manual XML editing and preserving historical footage.
- SureStream — Client-side failover that keeps live video flowing directly from camera to operator when servers go dark.
- Atlas — Secure edge transport over cellular and hostile networks with zero open ports.
From the Floor
Key Themes from the Event
This year's MXD South Pacific reflected a strategic shift by Milestone — moving from a multi-city roadshow format to a single premium destination event, enabling deeper engagement and more structured sessions. The agenda featured product updates across the XProtect, BriefCam, and Arcules portfolio, along with sessions on AI-driven video analytics and hands-on integration workshops.
Conversations at the Vega booth centered on three themes that we're seeing globally: the growing demand for cyber-resilient redundancy architectures that go beyond traditional SQL clustering, the need to simplify VMS migration without sacrificing historical data or operational continuity, and the challenge of connecting remote and edge sites over unreliable networks.
"MXD South Pacific reinforced what we're hearing in every region — the industry is moving past basic failover toward true cyber-resilient architectures. We're excited to be part of that conversation with Milestone and the South Pacific partner community."
Strengthening the South Pacific Partnership
Vega's participation at MXD South Pacific builds on its growing presence in the Oceania region, following last year's successful showing at Milestone ACT in Canberra. The South Pacific market's maturity across critical infrastructure, government, and large-scale commercial environments aligns closely with Vega's focus on resilience and uptime for mission-critical video systems.
We look forward to continuing to work with Milestone and our South Pacific partners to deliver the immune system for video infrastructure — keeping critical systems online, migratable, and connected, no matter what.
