1. Do you work with other VMS besides Milestone XProtect?

No. We work exclusively with Milestone XProtect.

2. What is the pricing structure for your software?

We charge a one-time license fee per camera MAC address. In addition, there is an annual software support cost. Support covers software updates and remote assistance.

3. Do I need additional Milestone XProtect Device Licenses for dual recording?

No, Milestone XProtect is licensed per device, irrespective of how many recorders record the same stream, per XProtect SLC. Even in Federated Architectures, as long as the parent and child sites share the same Milestone XProtect SLC, recording the same camera on both parent and child sites, counts towards one device license, not two.

4. Do you charge for consultation we may need while we decide on a redundancy architecture for our video security data center?

Our consultation doesn't cost you anything. We take the time to understand your objectives, budget constraints, and distinct workflows, ensuring we share tailored best practices for video redundancy that suit your needs.

5. Does your software need separate servers?

Our software functions on Milestone XProtect servers, saving you hardware cost. If you choose redundant video recording, you will of course need redundant Milestone XProtect recorders

6. What flavors of Milestone XProtect do you support?

We support all XProtect Versions Professional+ and up.

7. How often do you release software?

We have at least one major release after each Milestone XProtect release.

9. Do RMF and SureStream need separate licenses?

Yes. RMF and SureStream require individual licenses. Both are licensed per MAC address. One can deploy RMF by itself, or SureStream by itself, or together.
